The Genre of our Film

The genre of our film is a psychological-drama as it shows the progression from the characters being in a psychologically fit state to becoming mentally lost. It is also a drama as of the troubles they go through mentally and showing how they can't cope in the situation and this creates quite a sympathetic atmosphere later in the film. Also with it being a psychological drama it draws in a mass audience, as it could have the thriller fans later on into the decent of them becoming mental unstable, and also the people who like dramas as it isn't all about making you jump, as it actually has a plot and a storyline; also it appeals to other people as psychological dramas are rather popular for example Shutter Island is a very popular film with a complex, interesting plot with a twist.
